“In” to it?

Scarf

I don’t want to sound sarcastic with the fashion of today’s generation, but what is the justification of wearing scarf (especially by men) in tropical third world country?

I really don’t get it.

Chickening to eat

Nope, there’s no such flavor yet as charcoal chicken . . . what you are seeing is Chicken Company’s chicken barbeque.

Mind you, that’s their best-seller according to the crew.

Nope, there's no such flavor yet as charcoal chicken . . . what you are seeing is the presentation of Chicken barbeque of Chicken Company. Mind you, that's their best-seller, at least according to the crew.

would you dare?

A Feline’s PR Tale

A cat that’s been missing since 1999 reunites with its owners.
The couple were “overjoyed” to be reunited with their missing cat after so many years.
“Dixie’s personality, behaviour and little mannerisms have not changed at all,” said Gilly Delaney. “We don’t think she has stopped purring since she came back through the door.”
The RSPCA hope the story will encourage owners to have their pets microchipped.
Awwww! What a touching PR microchip story. I’m happy that the cat is alright . . . if the event ever happened for real though.
Another upgraded pet gadget that won’t be applicable here in the third-world country, my guess the amount could already feed hungry mouths of innocent souls.

My Journalism 101

What’s with being a journalist that they are often killed?

Are they law-offenders?
Is killing them a way of punishment?
If so, the government might as well just dissolve this course or discourage people pursuing this field, so as to avoid any element that could go against their way, to save as well the lives of those who wanted to practice objectivity. The way I see it, as long as there are journalist, whom I noticed whose work is only to whistleblow the irregularities they observed upon certain concern in a faction of a nation, a major percentage of those in authorities cannot have their goodnight sleeps.
I observed that this world is not as free as I thought it could be.
I happened to encounter this site of the National Union of the Journalist of the Philippines: http://www.nujp.org/media%20killings%202008.htm

Hi-Time

This is the high time to blog, says a dear friend.
Eric Janssen, in his Webraw/Theory agreed, seeing the power of blog can create:
For centuries (since the printing press at least) content and its distribution had been controlled by the rich and the powerful. Yet, in just a few short years, the Web had removed much of that control and put a lot of the responsibility for content into the hands of the masses. This was one of the sexiest features of the non-commerce* side of the Web and is, in part, what drove the wild success and expansion of the Web during those early years
Thus using the “sexiest features of the non-commerce side of the Web” will make one a sexy-user? Just asking, don’t pout.
